Summer travelling- first stop the Bahamas
00:27
Hi my lovely friends, for my summer holiday in September I was lucky enough to go to the main Oceanic islands of the Caribbean with my mum. Speaking from the bottom of my heart, the experience was honestly magical. (I'm sorry about the quality of the pictures from this Caribbean trip posts, I only took my Iphone5S with me so it's not great, but I'll make sure to use my Canon camera next time :P)
With the Bahamas being our first stop I have to say we definitely left with absolutely no regrets. The beach (pink sand beach), the food (omg the food!), the people and the scenery... seriously a wonderful place to go on vacation for.
We didn't stay on Nassau for long, only for short term transits instead we stayed at Hut Pointe Inn on the Governors Harbour, Eleuthera island. The host Brendon and caretaker Kathy was so welcoming, helpful and friendly. The stay was well accommodated and they knew the island extremely well. We were provided car rental options, with their clear directions on reaching our destinations, travelling around the island driving was no difficulty involved.
We did so much exploring on this trip, horse back riding by the beach with OceanView Farm was a dream come true as well as a day trip out of the beach going conch hunting, turtle catching (don't worry we did let them go as soon as we caught them), snorkelling and finishing the day off with a fresh, crunchy delicious conch salad! (Bahamian popular dish, must try!)
There were three amazing restaurants we tried that I must recommend you to go if you ever go visit the island:
*Tippy's great Italian/local food
*1648 Amazing variety food and views
*The Beach House lovely and chilled bar/diverse selections of food
I hope this post could pass on parts of my unforgettable trip at the Bahamas to you or give you an idea of how incredible this place is if you are planning on visiting.
Until next time, lots of love
Briana xx
