1st day at the Lake district (part 1)
17:23
Tadaaaaa! This was the promised trip to Lake district together with Helly and finally we are on the go!
Travelling from Edinburgh-Oxenholme Lake District-Windermere by train took about 3 hours, however since Scotland has not had a snow this year, the train trip passing the boarder area between Scotland and England had made my day much more vibrant than ever! ☺

Windermere is quite a vintage town and... oh look! there is a old church, Helly please take a picture for me!
Ops... looks like the weather doesn't seem to love that idea I just came up with.
Helly ordered Steak and ale pie along with chips and peas puree whereas I ordered Scampi with cream mashed potato and peas puree.
Although it was totally a random pick, the restaurant had a very clear view of the roads on their second floor and delicious food which definitely satisfied Helly and I's tummies.
Another thing I thought was worth mentioning was a drop in to the Booths just outside of the Windermere train station, as you enter the door way... a table full of fresh local bread disturbs any thoughts you might have had, leading you straight to their direction.
Eventually, Helly and I decided on getting the Pistachio Bread and they are Absolutely AMAZING!!
Nomnomnom... as I enjoy the rest of the pistachio bread, let me introduce you to our room at a Bed&Breakfast called Orrest Cottage B&B. This room is on the top floor of the house with a double queen-sized bed and two small toilets to share.
The room is decorated nicely giving you a cosy-home feel with nice quotes and warm lights.
There is also a TV room included for this room (feels like getting a suite but paying with a room price).
So this is the part 1 of my 1st day at the Lake district experience!
Want to know where we've been after checked in...? Check on the part 2 that's coming up SOON!
